The 33″ circumference of this mitt will be able to set a really large target towards which any pitvher will be able to aim. As well, if you are wanting to buy this glove for a young lady around 10 years old, I think there is a shot it could work as the Adjustable Pull-Strap Wrist opening. That Pull-Strap system allows you to cinch up the size of the wrist opening with a couple of tugs on laced and a couple of tied knots.

Lastly, even though catchers mitts are always bulkier than fielders gloves, the full grain leather on this mitt should break in pretty quickly. And even though it will be soft, it should be abel to be used for many seasons!
